Starred Tasks vs My Tasks: What Is the Difference?
Google Tasks ships with smart lists that behave differently from user-created lists. My Tasks shows tasks from all lists that have due dates or are scheduled for today/upcoming—it is an aggregate view, not a separate bucket.
Starred highlights priority items regardless of which custom list holds them. Stars do not change due dates or notify collaborators.
Building a Daily Review
- Morning: open My Tasks, scan due today.
- Star three outcomes that must finish regardless of meetings.
- Evening: unstar completed items; roll unfinished stars to tomorrow's due date.
