How to Move Tasks Between Lists in Google Tasks (Without Losing Subtasks)

Google Tasks supports list moves on web and mobile, but the gestures differ enough to confuse occasional users. On web, drag the task row into another list in the left sidebar or use the list dropdown in the task detail view. Subtasks attached to a parent move together automatically.

What Transfers

• Preserved: Due dates, reminders, notes, subtasks, completion state.
• Starred state follows the task, not the list.
