How to Use the Google Meet Usage Report
The Google Meet Usage Report in Workalizer gives you meeting activity at a glance: number of meetings and total duration, grouped by time period, with trend comparison. Use it to spot meeting load, track adoption of video meetings, and support decisions about meeting culture and efficiency.
Who Benefits
- Team Leads and Department Managers: To see meeting count and duration for their org unit and compare over time.
- HR and Operations: To monitor meeting intensity and alignment with workload or work-life balance goals.
- Executives: To track organization-wide meeting trends from the Dashboard or Apps.
Widget Access
Meet usage appears in two places: (1) On the main Dashboard (/dashboard/), the Meeting Activity Overview (MeetChart) shows total meetings and duration. (2) For a full report, go to Apps > Meet tab to see the Meet Bar Chart (meeting activity by period) alongside Meetings Stats and other Meet widgets. Use Org Unit and Period at the top to scope the data.
Detailed Functionality
The report shows a bar chart of meeting activity (meeting count and/or duration) by time bucket, with optional comparison to the previous period. Summary cards or the Meeting Statistics Overview show key metrics such as total duration, daily average per user, and recurring meeting time. For a breakdown by meeting type (internal, external, recurring, occasional), use the Meeting Types Analytics widget in the same tab. To find a specific meeting, use Meeting Search.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open Apps > Meet (or Dashboard): From the main nav, go to Apps and select the Meet tab, or use the Dashboard for a high-level summary.
- Set Org Unit and Period: Choose Org Unit and Period (e.g. Week, Month, Year) to define scope and timeframe.
- Review the chart and stats: Check the bar chart for trends and the Meetings Stats for total duration, daily average per user, and participation rate.
